Margaret Catherine Davis was born in 1822. She married Thomas S Brown in January 1844.[1] They had one set of twins before she died as a young mother on December 25, 1844, at the age of 22 - likely due to complications of childbirth as the girls were also born in December.[2]

- Margaret was the second wife of Thomas S. Brown. She died young with the birth of twins on 25 December 1842 but her twins, Margaret and Julia, lived. Thomas took them on horseback to Ozark County, Missouri to live with her family when they were about one year old. This information came from the 1998 Brown County, Indiana Query Forum.
- Another old Query mentions that the mother of Katie was Catherine Davis and that she had migrated to Ozark County, Missouri earlier.
