Biography

Samuel Davis was born on 13 September 1734 in Barnstable, Massachusetts. His father was Gershom Davis[1].

He married Mary Gorham on 22 December 1757 in Barnstable[2]. They relocated to Gorham, Maine, around the time of the American Revolution. They had seven children[3]:

1. Ebenezer, born ca. 1760; died young
2. Samuel, born 11 Jun 1762; married Mary Skillings
3. Mary, born ca. 1763
4. Ebenezer, born ca. 1765; married Mary Paine
5. Prince, born ca. 1767; married Betty Cahoon
6. Wiliam, born 9 Jun 1771
7. Elizabeth, born 14 Apr 1777

Samuel's date of death is uncertain.
