Charles Cowan was supposedly born in Argyllshire in 1832, but that date has not been documented. Also, I have no documentation for the locale, only the family stories that have been passed down.
My grandfather's surname was Cowan. His grandfather, Charles Cowan, immigrated to US in 1850 or so. We have no knowledge of his family, other than the names John, Hugh and Kate, a sister. I would love to collaborate and can bring him and his family forward from about 1860 to present.
I just learned about these videos. Many thanks to mentor Linda Peterson.
Looking for more information on Day family.
Looking for more information on Pearces, hailing from North Carolina, late 1700s and early 1800s.
Many, many Quakers in my line and a few mysteries I'd like to clear up.

Hi Rae,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Hi Rae,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one or more which best fit your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
