Born 21 JAN 1863. Hannibal, Missouri. [1] Note: from a memo in WHMC-KC, KC248, folder 13, which gives the date, and from DAR Lineage book 48 page 393, which gives the place; and from her husband's passport application in 1925, which gives the date and place and includes her photo.

Died 2 NOV 1947. Santa Fe, New Mexico.[2][3]

Note She had a sister named Emma, aged 50, single, living with her in 1910.

Scarritt to Kansas City, her former home, for burial. Mrs. Scarritt, 84, died late yesterday. She suffered a severe fall several weeks ago and had been ill since. She had been living with a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy McKibbin of Santa Fe. Two sons, William H. and Arthur Davis Scarritt, both of Kansas City, and a nephew, Ed Scarritt of the Albuquerque Journal's editorial staff, are among other survivors."
