Con was trained as a Steam Engineer in Chicago, Illinois in the 1890's. During his career he ran steam power plants for various communities in tri county area of Kansas. He also followed the harvesting crews in the fall of each year and operated the steam powered harvesters. For some reason he was black balled from running power plants in the early 1920's and was not able to work in his chosen profession. I suspect he refused to join a union, but I am not sure.

While in Chicago for his training in the 1890's he stayed with his half sister Julia (Davis) Mahoney who was married to Cornelius Mahoney. I believe that his half cousins Grace Mahoney and Julia (Mahoney) Wilson and her daughter Julia Ann (Wilson) Lepesckin came to Con's funeral in 1935. This is based on a letter from Grace Mahoney to my father that has since been lost.

Note: Julia Ann (Wilson) Lepesckin was married to Dr Eugene Lepesckin. We have lost all contact with them.

However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Con:
