Laura (Davis) McKenzie was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Laura Davis was born at Balmain in the Colony of New South Wales, in 1875, the daughter of Solicitor, Charles Davis and Maria Henry.[1]

Laura married William Duncan, at Daroo in the Colony of Queensland, on the 28th of April 1898.[2]
They had four children:

  1. Consett David Scott, died 1903.
  2. Alice Monkton, b 1901.
  3. Laura Lothian, b 1903.
  4. Beatrice Margaret, b 1904.

William Duncan died suddenly in 1907.

Laura purchased Lynne Grove House in 1914, and turned it into a home for infants.

Laura married secondly at Adelaide, to John McKenzie, in 1920.

Laura McKenzie passed away at Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, on the 20th of June 1955.[3]
