Biography
In September 1877 John Thomas Hedley Davison was born to Peter Davison and Mary Ann Walmsley. [1]
The first John Thomas Hedley Davison the first lived for 2 months . [2]
His brother born next was given the same name. The registry misspelled it Hesley instead of Hedley.
In 1907 when his father Peter died, John was in a mental hospital at Avondale. [3]. All other siblings were in Utakura, Bay of Islands..
It is difficult to find an exact death record. (Reference for 27 Jul 1948 needed).
On 10 May 1950 Hedley Davison passed away, aged 71 [4]. This puts the birth date at about 1878/1879. It is as if his birth date has been confused with his younger brother of the same name who died in infancy. This is likely to be him.
