On 3 February 1891 George Cuthbert Davison was born to William Cuthbert Davison and Maud Westlake. [1]. The birth was registered or modified in the registry in 1955. This may have been because he was not registered originally, but would have required a birth certificate when applying for a pension at age 65.
In November 1893 his parents Maud Westlake and William Cuthbert Davison were married. [2]

PRIVATE GEORGE DAVISON. Private George Davison, who is returning invalided by the Maheno, is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. [William Cuthbert] Davison, oi Utakura, Hokianga. He enlisted with the main body of the Expeditionary Force in the North Auckland company of the Auckland Infantry Battalion. In September last he was wounded severely in the ankle, and he has been ever since in the New Zealand General Hospital at Pont de Koubbeh. Private Davison is 24 years of age, and had spent his life in the North. When war broke out he was in Auckland in connection with his examination regarding oil-engines, and he enlisted here.
On 7 August 1915 he was admitted to hospital in Cairo. [4]

On 6 August 1919 Stella Wheeler and George Cuthbert Davison were married. [6]

On 26 March 1922 a son Raymond Cuthbert Davison was born. (1922-2014). On 20 April 2014 Raymond Cuthbert Davison passed away aged 92, having been born on 26 March 1922. [7]. He is survived by a daughter, Fiona Gail Davison.
Another known child is Susan Elizabeth Davison.
On 8 October 1968 George Cuthbert Davison passed away, aged 77 [8]
The probate on his will refers to him as "Ngarimu Bay - Retired Labourer" where Ngarimu Bay is on the Coromandel Peninsula north of Thames.
His war service is remembered on the Okaihau First World War memorial gates, Horeke Rd, Northland.
His cemetery cremation record is puzzling, listing an incorrect date of death of 1/1/1970. However, this appears to be customary in records at this crematorium. [9]
His ashes were buried at the Totara Memorial Park, 110 Te Arapipi Rd, Thames.[10]
