Leo was born in 1894. He passed away in 1935.
Also, the correct spelling of his last name is DAVISON NOT DAVIDSON.
Leo worked at the Ax Handle factory in Bowling Green KY, he moved to Louisville KY in the 1930's, where he worked in a sand paper company. He contracted TB and eventually passed away at the Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Louisville KY. He is buried without a tombstone in Evergreen Cemetery Louisville, KY .
I have received the WWI Draft Registration Card filled out personally by Leo to comply with the draft registration act of 1917. The card list Leo Davison age 23 address 724 Collage St. Bowling Green KY Precinct 26. His date of birth was given as 2 Aug. 1894 (just as it should be). This means there can be no doubt that Lilly Kirby was his mother. On his death certificate his sister Beulah made a mistake in putting his birthdate as Aug. 1898. This made it appear he was born six months after the death of his mother Lilly Kirby Davison! This draft registration card, along with the 1900 and 1920 U.S. Census correctly shows his year of birth as 1894.
I am a member for the DAR on this lineage through the Kirby family line.
