Lionel was born in 1899 in Liverpool. He was the fourth & last child of Robert & Annie Davy; he had two older brothers Michael & Philip, & a sister Rachel. His father was secretary/manager of the New Brighton Tower company. Paul Davy gives their 1901 address as 89 Egerton Street, Ramsbottom Lancashire while FamilySearch index it as Liscard, Cheshire.
The family belonged to the Church of England, but I haven't been able to find christening records for the children yet.
Lionel was an accountant. He married Edith Chadwick in December 1930, and died in the first quarter of 1931. They had no children - no births were registered with surname Davy and mother's maiden name Chadwick, and there are no possible remarriages for Edith within a year, so no chance a child could have been registered under a new surname.
