Death notice in "The Age" read:
DAW. On the 24th November, at the residence of his son-in-law, Walter H Parsons, 93 Parkville Street, Parkville. Isaac Smith, son of William Smith DAW, Lower Town Mills, Wendron, Cornwall, beloved father of Mrs Parsons, Mrs Bradbury, William Daw, Ballarat and Isaac Daw, Mallee; one of the last members of the Ballarat Troop, Prince of Wales's Light Horse and BCFB. A colonist of 60 years. Ballarat and Cornwall papers copy. "At Rest."
