DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:

I believe Joseph Dawson to be a direct descendant of mine through Sarah Dawson Waterer, (her daughter, Sarah Waterer Walters is buried in an old family-my family’s- cemetery in Georgia) but my DNA isn’t showing as a match? Joseph also shows up in various family trees. I’m sort of new at this so I’m not sure exactly how it works. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Dawson-1690 and Dawson-2195 appear to represent the same person because: Dates need reconciling but spouse names are the same. Possibly father+son and younger man wasn't married twice. Close examination of the sources will tell.

Dawson-2327 and Dawson-1690 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate. sources show he was over 70 when he died

The deaths aren't right. Issacs outlives Joseph. Did she leave Isaac?

Patience Pike was first married to Isaac Scriven. She was the second wife of Joseph Dawson and was dis owned by the Quakers for marrying him. She is the mother of none of Joseph's children.
