Biography

George I. Dawkins was born to Elijah and Elizabeth Dockins in Jun 1832[1] in South Carolina.[2][3][4][5]

About 1855 George married wife Eliza Tarisa,[1][4][3][5] possibly in Cherokee County, Alabama where records no longer exist, and the couple had the following known children:

  1. Daniel S. Dawkins was born about 1859 in Alabama.[4]
  2. Mary Dockins was born about 1868 in Georgia.[3]
  3. Sarah Dockins was born about 1872 in Arkansas.[3]

By 1880 George has moved to Newberg in Izard County, Arkansas where his father also lives and is listed as the household next door to him on the census.[3]

George died sometime after 1910, possibly in Izard County, Arkansas where he was living at that time.[5]
