He was in his own household in Santa Paula in 1920 and 1930[5][6] He was listed as married in 1920 (no wife in household) and divorced in 1930. According to early 1920s news articles, he had a divorce suit from a Celinda (Unknown), likely Mrs. Celinda (Foskett) Potter, who was also living in Ventura county in 1920, in her daughter's household under the name of Dawley.[7]
