   Text: CHARLES PEARSON DAWS is charged, on warrant issued by the Tarnagulla Bench, with deserting his wife on 15th October 1878. Description :-English, engine-driver and miner, 43 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, slight build, dark complexion and eyes, one eye discolored from a powder explosion, dark-brown hair and whiskers, no moustache, large forehead, pug nose, erect gait, right hand contracts, and fore-finger drawn up, first joint of fourth finger of one hand off, fond of drink and quarrelsome. 26th August 1879.
