Charles Daws was born in Greasley, Nottinghamshire, England.

Charles Pearson Daws was born on the 7th of January 1837, in Newthorpe, Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. [1][2].

Charles was baptised 26 February 1836 at St Mary, Greasley [3].

Charles Pearson Daws was a miner, he is believed to have been present at the storming of the Eureka Stockade on the 3rd of December 1854. [4]

In 1863 Charles Pearson Daws marries Dorothy Jane Pollen in Victoria, Australia. [5]

In 1878 he was charged with deserting his wife.[6]

Charles dies on the 6th of May 1919, in Llanelly, Victoria, Australia. He was 82 years old. [7][8]

Description :-English, engine-driver and miner, 43 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, slight build, dark complexion and eyes, one eye discolored from a powder explosion, dark-brown hair and whiskers, no moustache, large forehead, pug nose, erect gait, right hand contracts, and fore-finger drawn up, first joint of fourth finger of one hand off, fond of drink and quarrelsome. 26th August 1879.
