Biography

Thomas Dawson was born on 05 June 1580 in Cottingham, Yorkshire, England.[1] He was baptised at Cottingham on 12 June 1580, the son of John Dawson.[2]

He married Elizabeth Burrell on 17 August 1602, in Cottingham, Yorkshire, England[3]

Research Notes

Thomas was previously connected to parents William Dawson and Agnes Scofield, who were married 39 years before he was born and 70 miles away. His baptism shows Cottingham not Halifax, father John not William, so detached from them and added to John Dawson of Cottingham (orphan profile)

There is a merge pending on this profile since February. It looks like one profile has Margaret Thompson as his sister and the other as his mother. Given her last name, I suspect she is not his sister.

Can someone take a few minutes to try and resolve this?
