I have discovered that the Dawson family owned a property named “Dawson Fold” in Crosthwaite and Lyth from abt 1550 to 1655 who sold to Snipe family, who sold on to possibly Harrison and then Wilkinson. Most Dawson moved to Withersack but also Natland near Kendal.

I am searching for the father of Margaret Dawson (Robert) who married 1698 Bryan Leigh both of Natland. Margaret died the same year 1698 after giving birth to John Leigh. Bryan went on to marry Agnes Wilson in 1704. I did note that Rowland son of Rev came back and 2 by the name of Rowland (wife’s name) were buried in 1658 and 1678 at Kendal.
