John Vavasour Dawson, son of William Christopher & Kate, was baptised on 9 April 1890 in Weston, All Saints, Yorkshire, England.[1]
John married Charlotte Gerda Roneilly on 2 July 1915 in Marnhull, Dorset, England.[2]
A major in the 13th Hussars, he lost a leg in Mesopotamia in 1917.
