Biography

In 1945, Joseph William Buchanan Burns married Mona Florence Dawson at St. Paul's Church, Stockton, New South Wales. Joseph, a 24-year-old Iron Worker, was born Stockton, New South Wales, the son of Joseph Buchanan Burns, Crane Driver, and Margaret Ann Emslie. Mona, Home Duties, was 22 years old, born Melbourne, Victoria, the daughter of Frederick Henry Dawson, Carpenter, and Emily Annetta Danith. At the time of their marriage, both were single. Joseph resided Stockton, while Mona lived Broadmeadow, New South Wales. The Church of England ceremony was performed by Bert. V. Davis before witnesses W. B. Burns and D. Dawson. [1] [2]

A Funeral notice, published in the Newcastle Herald on 20th May, 2015, announced the funeral of Mona Burns, late of Wallsend, aged 92. [3]
