Margaret was born in 1931 to Elton A. Day (1904-1973) and Gladys D. Pallett (1906-1995). She passed away in 2016.

Krum, Mrs. Margaret J. Kalamazoo, MI
Margaret Jean Krum, age 84, passed away on Friday morning, April 8, 2016. She was born on October 13, 1931 in Decatur, MI a daughter of Elton and Gladys (Pallett) Day and lived most of her life in Kalamazoo.
Margaret graduated from St. Augustine High School. She volunteered for many years at Loaves and Fishes and was an active participant in events at the Portage Senior Center.
On June 28, 1952 Margaret married Duane E. Krum who preceded her in death on January 12, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
Surviving are five children, Stephen Krum of Bailey, CO, Karen (Wayne) DeBroske of Portage, Pamela Krum of Niles, Diane Bland of Sturgis and Lori Krum of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren, Daryl Haner, Bryan (Hillary) Haner, Kristen Krum, Erica (Derek) Groendyk, Nicole Hastings and Jennifer (Brian) DeBroske-Lee; six great-grandchildren, Lukas Haner, Levi & Hannah Groendyk and Tyler, Jude & Brier Hastings; three sisters, Pat Lipes, Carol Stickler and Liz Fox; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or public services. Private inurnment in West Oshtemo Cemetery will be held later. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Portage Senior Center or Ministry with Community. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel.
