Alfred was born in New Brunswick circa 1819 in Sheffield, New Brunswick.[1]
He married (1) Rebecca Ann UNKNOWN. She died in 1845 at the age of 18.
He married (2) Martha Amanda Palmer at Eastport, Maine on November 9, 1847.[1] Martha was also born at Sheffield. No information on parents in provided in their marriage registration.
By 1851, he was living in Sheffield and was a farmer.
Amanda passed away on January 21, 1869.
Alfred passed away at home on February 26, 1894 at the age of 76.[2][3]

In 1861, a Lawrence Day aged 72 was living with the family. Possible father of Alfred?
A younger brother was referred to in his Obituary as Rev. Dr. Day. He was likely still living in 1894. Based on census records, this brother was likely the Rev. Dr. George E. Day of Sheffield born circa 1836.
