Clarence Day was a gifted American writer, whose best known work is the autobiographical, "Life With Father." A Yale graduate, he was a member of the New York Stock Exchange and a partner in his father's brokerage firm. He enlisted in the U S Navy, but was stricken by arthritis and was an invalid for the rest of his life. "Life With Father" went to the New York Stage in 1939 and was made into a popular movie in 1947.
He died in 1935.[1]
