Fielding married Florence Hamby (1873-1907) ca. 1894. They had at least six children, Emily Ethel (Campbell) (1893-1960), Leonidas (1895-1958), Laura (Cambell) (1898-1921), Mary Jane (Smith) (1901-1945), Mattie Alice (1904-1945), and Fielding Jr (1907-1907).
Florence died in 1907, the same year baby Fielding was born.
Fielding remarried to Nancy Miller (born Parker) in August 1916.
