Jean Baptiste Dorsin DeCuir was born on December 30, 1769 in False River, Pointe Coupee, Louisiana, New Spain, son of Jean François Decuir (1704–1771) and Geneviève Mayeux (~1727–<1779).[1] [1]
Jean-Baptiste (29) married Helene Bourgeat (1798) in 1799. Their children were:
- Jean Baptiste DeCuir (1800–>1825)
- Jean Baptiste Dorsin DeCuir (1803–1849)
- Aspasie DeCuir (1805–>1816)
- Helene DeCuir (~1818–1820)
