Biography

1855 Evert de Groot was born on September 27, 1855 in Rauwerderhem. His parents were Klaas Everts de Groot and Rinske Hendriks Schuurmans.[1][2]

1879 Evert de Groot married Hiltje Piersma on May 1, 1879 in Utingeradeel.[3]

1888 Edward immigrated to the USA with his family in 1888.[4]

1889 Son Nickolas Edward was born on 21 Jan 1889 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA.[5]

1900 Now living in Chicago, in the town of Calumet, Cook County, Illinois, Edward worked to support his family as a laborer. His household comprised:
