DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Cornelis Joosten by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Cornelis Joosten:
DeGroot-47 and DeGroodt-14 appear to represent the same person because: Close birth dates (as if entered to estimate for a marriage), same wife. No other info to conflict.
DeGroot-47 and DeGroot-14 don't seem to be the same people, though each married the same person on the same date. Possibly one of these is in error? (I am working on date error cleanup project).
I also repaired the name on this one to match the baptism record so they are ready to merge.
