Before he was thirty years old, Antoine immigrated to Louisiana; he married Angelique Montjean (1752-1794) on 24 June 1766 in New Orleans, Louisiana,[1] which was by then under the control of Spain.

Their known children were:

  8. Louis DeJan (~1784 - ~1842)

He was a master locksmith who served as an artilleryman in the Spanish Militia of New Orleans in 1778.[2]

Antoine died about 16 August 1786 in New Orleans, Louisiana, New Spain, aged about 50.
