  • First-hand information. Entered by Jim DeLisi at registration.

Back in high school, I was interested in everything ...Football…Ski Club…Chess…Debate…AV…SIGNAL…Drama…ECHO…Humanities…Latin…Parallel bar...and a girl named Rita.

After high school, I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Minnesota, and completed to Technical Vocational Institute of St. Paul for training to become an electrician.

In 1970, I married Rita Schwamberger.

A few years later, we moved to Denver, Colorado where we raised two children, Shelly and Peter. We've been in Denver most of our lives.

Career-wise I spent many years as a master electrician. I became interested in computers and went back to college as a "non-traditional" student and graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver (summa cum laude) in 2003 with a degree in Computer Information Systems. I have been going back and forth between the electrical field and the computer field since 2000 - what can I say other than one career pays well and the other career is very interesting. I really love computers.

I enjoy great health and a wonderful active Colorado lifestyle, and my interests are still varied, including skiing, guitar, computers, oldies concerts, dancing and spending quality time with Rita.

I have overseas and did so for several years.

I repatriated to the USA on 27 March, 2009. My experience in Afghanistan was very rewarding, enlightening and exhausting. I will always be grateful to be able to live in the USA.

Once again (Feb 10, 2010) I am working overseas. It is an interesting and rewarding job.

Made it back home October 1, 2010. Glad to be here.

I finally retired on July 16th of 2019 and am enjoying time with Rita.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.

Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.

Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.

Ludwig :)

PS If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section of your profile page.
