Walter signed up for the Draft on September 12, 1918 in Gardner, MA.[2]
He went to go live in Gardner State Colony an Insane Asylum, sometime between 1910 and 1918. He lived there until his passing in 1967. No records of his ailment have been found other than he was deemed Insane.
