Biography

George Sidney was born in 1851 in Wakefield, NB. He was the son of Jacob DeWitt and Ruth Rideout.[1]

George S. DeWitt married Caroline Rockwell on January 5 [year uncertain]. He is buried in Charleston Cemetery.

In the 1871 census Sidney (age about 20) was living in Aberdeen, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.[1]

In the 1891 census Sidney (age about 40) was living in Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.[2]

In the 1901 census Sidney (age about 50) was living in Simonds, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.[3]

In the 1911 census Sidney (age about 60) was living in Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.[4]

Sidney died at the age of about 64 in 1915 in Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.

Dewitt-3179 and DeWitt-1663 appear to represent the same person because: DeWitt is the proper spelling as seen on the Gravestone. Same person. Same parents.
