Dwight was born in 17 Jun 1901 in Bedford Nova Scotia, Canada.[1][2][3]
The 1911 Canadian census lists Dwight as a nine-yr old, NS born, English-Cdn, Presbyterian, living in 99 Victoria St, Halifax NS.[4]
The 1921 Cdn census lists James E as a 20 yr old, single, NS born, English-Cdn, Presbyterian, clerk in a steamship company, living in Bedford, Halifax Co, NS.[5]
In 1921 he was a crew member of the sailboat Keith which traverse the Atlantic Ocean from Halifax Nova Scotia to England.
He was married in 29 Jun 1927 in Coburg Rd, Halifax NS, Canada to Rae Hamilton Curry, by Presbyterian rite and working as a bookkeeper.[6]
The 1931 Canadian census lists him incorrectly as DeWitt James Edward (instead of the proper James Edwin Dwight) as a married, 30 yr old, Nova Scotia born, Scotch-Cdn, Presbyterian adherent, shipping agent bookkeeper, living in Bedford, Nova Scotia. [7]
He died in 1933 of a heart attack, in Bedford, Halifax Co, NS, Canada as determined by a coroner's jury,[8] and was buried in Brookside Cemetery, Bedford, Halifax County, NS, MEMORIAL ID208481936.[9]
