Biography
- Sir Hugo de Bathe 5th Bt. (1871-1940) was the 1st legitimate son of General Sir Gerald Henry Perceval de Bathe, 4th Bt. & his wife Charlotte née Clare (they had 3 children prior to getting married)
- He was educated at Radley and commissioned into 3rd Bn Gloucestershire Regiment and saw service in South Africa in 1900.
- He married, firstly, Emily Charlotte le Breton (AKA Lillie Langtry), daughter of Very Rev. William Corbet le Breton and Emilie Charlotte Martin, in 1899. He and Emily Charlotte le Breton were divorced in 1929.
- He married, secondly, Deborah Warschowsky, daughter of Samuel Warschowsky, on 26 November 1931.
- He died in 1940 & since he had no children, he was succeeded by his nephew.
