Hi J.,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a Pre-1700 Project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants.

It looks like Canadian_History Project would be a good fit with the tag you entered. Adding the tag Canadian_History will help you get updates about activity for that project.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Try this page https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources

There is also a link on page one of the How To's

From any wiki ID click the word research, next page, log in is your wikitree email and password. This opens another page - choose familysearch as this provide open and accessible sources.

you can either list sources or place them inline with data to do this highlight the citation text only and click the small C this automatically adds the ref tags - <ref>citaion text</ref>

Hope this helps let me know if you still have problems

Hi J

How is it going so far. were the How-Tos pages helpful or did they leave you with questions?

Clicking your green tags will show other members who follow that tag. Add tags for locations, ONTARIO or CANADIAN_HISTORY. The more tags you add the more links to community & research options Information on tags is on page one of the How To pages.

We want to help you learn about the site and the community, hopefully you found the pages and links useful. I have page one bookmarked for reference page

Questions click my name and ask in the comment box on my page

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when you click the link, you can find a working version in the public comments on your profile

Hi J.,

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.

Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.

Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.

Ludwig :)

PS If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section of your profile page.

Just a note to say hi and to let you know that I'm available to answer questions about WikiTree. You can contact me by clicking the link to my name, then sending a private message or posting a comment on my profile page.

Thank you for adding your GedCom. Once you have volunteered you will be able to fully access the site and work on your GedCom
