Ystace d' Erneville (Jeanne Bethencourt, Jean, Jean, Regnault, Philippe, Jean)^31,167,31,31 was born after 1362 at France.³¹ After 1365 the tutelage of Ystace and his brother was first handed over to Louis de Erneville (or Renneville) and, after his death, to Philibert Le Peley, husband of their step-sister, Phillippote.³¹ In Feb 1405 Erneville and his son of the same name visited Jean de Bethencourt at Grainville-la-Teinturière on his return from the Canary Islands. Erneville offered to return with Bethencourt to the Canary Islands, but Bethencourt preferred that he remain at home.¹⁶⁸
