Katherine Stafford married Sir Michael de la Pole, 2nd Earl Suffolk, 2nd Lord de la Pole, Justice of the Peace for Norfolk & Suffolk, son of Sir Michael de la Pole, Lord de la Pole, 1st Earl of Suffolk, Admiral of the Northern Fleet and Catherine Wingfield, circa 13 April 1383; They had 5 sons (Sir Michael, 3rd Earl of Suffolk; Sir William, 1st Duke & Marquess of Suffolk; Sir Alexander; Sir John; & Thomas, a clerk) and 5 daughters (Isabel, wife of Sir Thomas, 5th Lord Morley; Elizabeth, wife of Sir Edward Burnell, & of Sir Thomas Kerdeston; Joan; Philippe; & Katherine, Abbess of St. Mary the Virgin at Barking, Essex).[1]
