I read the Wikipedia page attentively. There is one citation for Claude de Salins (father) and his succession (reference number 8). This directs to "Histoire généalogique des sires de Salins au comté de Bourgogne, avec des notes historiques et généalogiques sur l'ancienne noblesse" which gives a son Claude (died young) to Claude de Salins and his second wife, Vaugrigneuse; and only two daughters of the marriage to Antoinette de Seyturier. See here.

Beauregard's database (there may of course be other work I'm not aware of) cites Couillard-Després.

We also must consider the descending relations which have been confirmed following this line. If the younger Claude died than the following relations would not have been possible. Jeanne Motin's Mother was Marie De Salins was she not? and are we confidant about her parents?

Do we have to exhume these people to test their DNA to prove they are related?

Ok, so what about the work done by Denis Beauregard, which is one of the links on this page or how about the sources given here

https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Histoire_de_Salins-les-Bains

which is also on the profile page?

Of the three sources presented in the uploaded image, only one identifies Claude Salins, husband of Anne Chantepinot, with Claude Salins, son of Claude de Salins and Antoinette de Seyturier. The two other sources have the younger Claude de Salins dying in infancy.

Couillard-Després's genealogy work contains approximations and other parts of his genealogy of Turgis have been disproven.

Need someone with pre 1500 badge to extend this line. According to Denis Beauregard, this line extends to Richard II of NORMANDY Judith of BRITTANY and thus to Rollo &

Poppa of Bayeux as well as Adalbert I, Margrave of Tuscany and Rothilde of Italy. And many others as well.
