Biography

One record for "Severine Antoine Gertrude De Soto" was found in the Abstracts of Natchitoches Church records. That entry describes the child as a "son". It is possible that there was a son born and also a daughter with the same names, or it could be a mistake. The baptismal entry has no month, but gives the 11th day of [no month] 1766 for her birth.^[1]

Severine married (1) Lucas Fontenot about 1782. He died in 1790. She next married (2) Manuel Prous 31 Jan 1792.^[2]
