Biography

Weber[1] shows her as Alice de VERNON, dau. of William de REVIERS, 5th Earl of Devon, citing "Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists", 7th Edition, by Frederick Lewis Weis, additions by Walter Lee Shippard Jr., 1999, Page: 195-28, for her Name (no indication of parentage) and her d. of 1206 in Berry Pomeroy, Totnes, Devon, England.

Note

While processing the merge, the 1168 b. date caused a system warning about this date being more than 40 yrs. from one of the siblings, but I forgot to copy it to post here, so after the merge, I put the 1168 date back in and saved, assuming the pop-up would appear again, but it didn't, just strange. Also, there are two Margery/Margaret's shown as siblings, Redvers-25 and Vernon-829 The Vernon profile shows her m. to this sister's son.

Alice married Henry Pomeroy.

De Vere-144 and Redvers-6 appear to represent the same person because: duplicates; please merge. See notes in bio.
Her son is shown m. to her sister.
They're the same woman. The de Vere one was incorrectly named that, from reading her bio, and attached to a de Vere father, which earlier this year was determined to be incorrect.
So which is the correct husband of Henry Pomero. It might be simpler to disconnect the wrong one from Henry as they seem to be two distinct ladies.

De Vere-337 and Redvers-6 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, dates, husband. Note husbands have merge proposed.
I have found a Henry Pomeroy of Berry Pomeroy Devon, husband of Alice, daughter of John Raleigh - they were parents of "Anne (or Agnes) Pomeroy, widow of Robert Budockshide" who married, about 1479, Nicholas Stukeley, Esq. (born about 1451).

There's an earlier Alice de Vere, who married (2) c1414, who was the daughter of the 10th Earl of Oxford Aubrey de Vere & Alice Fitz Walter (but did not marry a Pomeroy).

I have not been able to find any evidence of a daughter Alice for Robert de Vere (d 1221).

I'm thinking that maybe she belongs to a different Robert?

Any ideas?
