It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Hendrick by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Hendrick:
Jaulanne, I re-connected Marie Weij as spouse. Please do not disconnect profiles without providing adequate research & primary sources. Yes - De Vos is a very common name. There might have also been more than one progenitor with that name. Besides - Petronella was mother to a daugther who married a Strijdom. Also - Weij might be a written baptism entry for Verweij - and as this profile is being merged, editing data before is not the correct thing to do.
There is a Marie Weij born in Holland and married to a Hendrik de Vos born in Holland. Married in Holland .They do not have a child Petronella Johanna. Removed as wifeof Hedrik de Vos born in Stellenbosch
This Hedrick is a duplicate of De Vos- 877. (the brother?) Their is no record of a Marie Weij. She has the same Birth date as Marie Petronella Hartogh so is probaly the same person. De vos 877 also has a daughter Petronella Johanna. If you want I will provide a page ex Devillers & Parma from a Hartogh research document that has no record of a Maria Weij. Paulus Johannes 1751 had 14 children and Marie Weij is not one of them
