Mary was baptised on 6 November 1818 the daughter of Patrick Deacon and Mary (Smith) Deacon. Deacon/Dakin.

When Mary was 23 she married John [Mary Ann Deacon] Hartley on 19 May 1842 in ManchesterCathedral. [2]

She died at the age of 47 on 4 January 1866 in Workhouse, New Brigg Street, MANCHESTER, Lancashire. Death Certificate: Typhus Fever. [3][4]
