Sarah Caroline Deal was born to
Mary Ellen Hamacher and Francis Marion Deal
on January 28, 1855, in Crothersville, Jackson County, Indiana.[1] She was the second of four children born to Mary and Francis.
Sarah's father, Francis, passed away after November 1858 and before 1860.Note 1 when Sarah was four years old.
Sarah's mother, Mary, passed away on September 15, 1869, when Sarah was fourteen years old.
Sarah married Samuel Thompson Oliver on February 26, 1876, in Indiana.[2] Sarah and Samuel had three children born to them; Nancy Ellen, Holmes, and Forrest S.
Sarah passed away at the age of 69 years, on February 28, 1924, in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa.[3]

Mrs. Samuel T. Oliver Dies at Davenport, la.
Word was received by relatives and friends at Normal last night of the death of Mrs. Samuel T. Oliver, of Davenport, Ia., a former resident of Danvers.
E. S. Deal, of South Main Street, Normal, accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. Ora Stutzman, left immediately to return to Danvers with the body.
The funeral announcement will be made later.
Mrs. Oliver is survived by her husband and son, Forrest Oliver, of Nevada, and a daughter Mrs. Harry Beatty, North Carolina.
One son, Homer, was by killed by a Big Four passenger train one mile east of Danvers several years ago.
For many years the family lived at Danvers, where Mr. Oliver was engaged at the carpenter trade, but several years ago moved to Davenport, where they have since made their home.
Mr. Oliver is recovering from an accident which occurred six months ago when he fell from a scaffold and broke his hip.
Her remains were laid to rest in Park Lawn Cemetery, Danvers, McLean County, Illinois.[1]
