Notes: Obituary appeared in the Quad-City Times 08 Aug 1996 page 10A. LeCLAIRE, Iowa - Services for Seward L. Dean, 87, of Marshfield, Wis., formerly of Bettendorf, will be Thursday at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, Wis. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire. Mr. Dean died Sunday, Aug. 4, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. He farmed and was employed as a flour packager and as a farm machinery assembler at JI Case in the Quad-City area. He was born Jan. 21, 1909, in Hales Township, Jones County. He married Dorothy Ehlers in 1946 in Davenport. During World War II, he served in the Navy. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nancy Capen, Arpin, Wis.; a son, Ronald, Ames; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Leola James, Davenport.
