During the winter, the Nordic Project performed check-ins, sent as a private message from your profile. You are one of those members who has not replied, and this is a last chance to get in touch and let me know if you like to continue as member in the Nordic Project.
Please answer this comment, and get in touch by sending me a private message. If we have not heard from you within a month you will be removed from the Nordic google group and your badge will be removed.
If you have not received any check-in emails, you might want to check that your email address for WikiTree is one you actually still use.
Thank you for reaching out. Yes, I was aware of the Trafalgar ancestors site. The claim that John Beach served with Nelson was in a record created in Nova Scotia in the 1800s. There is a John Beach cited in the archives as a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy in August 1801, but that’s all I’ve been able to find out. I have been unable to find a place called Rosette in England. Some people have his father listed as Francis Beach, married to Elizabeth Winstone, in Gloucestershire, however, I have been unable to confirm if this is my John Beach. The record is very thin. Thanks again.

Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.

Re: John Beach
Just wondering if you were aware of this website: https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/trafalgarancestors/
There is a William Beach but doesn’t seem to be a John.
Some other Royal Navy records are also kept at the National Archives.
(I’m not related to your Beachs, you popped up on my feed, because one of my tags is England. Good luck with your search.)
