Joseph Joy Dean born about 1752 in Hannahstown, Belfast, Antrim, Ireland.[1]

appointed curate of Blanchardstown, in 1802

established St Bridget's Academy in Blanchardstown, in 1810

appointed parish priest of Blanchardstown 2 Dec 1825

Fr J. Joy Deane P.P. Blanchardstown letter 4 Apr 1829 to Archbishop Daniel Murray concerning the parish boundary and the county boundary. [2] another letter 28 Jan 1830 [p 132]

Rev Dean died in 1836, age 83 yrs.
