Colon--- Francis Kirk Dean, 67, died at 5 a.m. today in the Sturgis Hospital after an illness of eight days. He was born in Utica, N.Y., June 12, 1888, son of Kirk and Fanny (Pearson) Dean. He lived in Colon for 36 years and was married in 1919 to Miss Lillian Fisk. He was retired in July, 1955, after 35 years of work for the Colon Lambknit Co. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Colon. Surviving Mr. Dean are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Hawley of Union City; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Hoyt of Yonkers, N.Y., and Mrs. Ethel Holtz of Flint.
