Biography

MARY DEAN, daughter of ELIZABETH and SILAS DEAN, was born in Kalamo township, Eaton county, Michigan, May 12, 1884, and passed away at the home of her brother, FLOYD DEAN, in Charlotte, October 13, 1935, where she spent the last week of her earthly life.

Mary was naturally of a very happy disposition, and this characteristic remained with her all of her life, and she left this world with the same smile she had been able to maintain at all times.

She attended the Cogsdill school one mile north of her childhood, and after her marriage spent several years in Charlotte. She lived in other parts of the state and other states and spent several winters in Florida and California, coming to Eaton County with her husband about three weeks before she passed away after spending the summer in Chicago.

She leaves to mourn her loss a devoted husband, ALMON SEBOLT; three brothers, BERT M. DEAN, of Montana, ROY DEAN of Kalamo and FLOYD DEAN of Charlotte, and three half sisters, MRS. ADA WILLIAMS of Oregon, MRS. FRANCIS WIGHT of California, and MISS GRACE MACOMBER of Charlotte, and many other relatives, besides a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the home of her brother Floyd conducted by Rev. Mrs. McConald, Captain of the Salvation Army, and burial was at Clarence Center cemetery, near Duck Lake, beside the son PALMER.
