Harriet, his first wife, died in 1875; thereafter Amos Dean married in 1878, Cornelia (Hall), who was significantly (about 39 years) younger. They had one child:

According to Phoenix Register 1958 (centennial) edition, Amos was president of Phoenix bank for a time.
Amos Dean died in 1898, in Phoenix, New York. His grave is in Chase Cemetery, Lysander, Onondaga County, New York, USA [5].
