Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, here are a few more features you may find useful:

• You can find recommended profile formats and tips on writing biographies in Styles and Standards.

• To describe an event, an heirloom or a location, you can use a Free Space Profile.

• Sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. See our process for resolving these situations.

Just a quick note to thank you for everything you've been doing to straighten out data for the Howtons, Thompsons, and other distant relatives of mine. I've been far too busy with other projects to properly prune from those branches the various duplicates, and incorrect facts, and to correct omissions. The collaborative nature of WikiTree can be a real godsend in the hands of people like you!

My plan is to enter my known ancestors one at a time rather than uploading a gedcom (this may change, but I'd rather not be flooded with information while I'm still new).
