Notice: Story handed down generations is that

as he was taking his OATH to CSA, the Union Army raided the camp and James H. Deatherage was wounded in right wrist and right hip-joint (Probably from same bullet). This happened the day before the battle of Prairie Grove, Ar. on Dec. 6, 1862 and never fully recovered from its effects. The battle started Dec. 7, 1862. As per letter received from Faye Stanfill, great grand daughter of James. He was my g g gf. Earl
