Buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Morris Co.,Tx.
Gerald,I am related to the Rogers and Spencer families that lived close to the Deatons in Titus 1850 on. They all came to Titus from McNairy Co Tn. and had come from North Carolina to TN in the mid 1800's.I feel we are all related because the Rogers family all used the names Ransom and Celia. The oldest Rogers couple was John and Celia Kelly Rogers. They are in the 1850 Titus Co. census along with Ransom and Benjamin Rogers and James Spencer. Mrs. Spencer's given name is not listed, but I know fromfamily records that Ransom and Benjamin were her brothers.I feel that John and Celia were their grandparentsas they are too old to have children of that age.Maybe Mary Deaton (wife of Isaac , Sr.) could have been a sister to the younger Rogers and Mrs. Spencer??? I had considered this before I saw your query.
Also, do you think Sealy (wife of Wm. E.) could have been a Spencer. All but 2 of the Spencer family are unaccounted for after 1850.They had ad daughter named Celia born about 1839. I will be glad to share my info and compare notes if you want to
